Palmer confirmed for GT Asia Series programme with Absolute Racing BentleyMay 4, 2016
Andrew Palmer will return to Asia with regular Pirelli World Challenge team Absolute Racing to contest the GT Asia Series in 2016.
The 21-year-old Californian, who has scored three top-ten finishes from four PWC rounds so far this season, entered the Sepang round of the Asian Le Mans Series alongside Adderly Fong in January, but is new to the six circuits on the 2016 calendar.
Palmer will be joined by multiple-Super Car Thailand-winner Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak in one of three Bentley Continental GT3s to be entered by the British marque’s Asian partner team.
“I’ve been racing with Bentley Team Absolute in Pirelli World Challenge and I’ve been super impressed with the team,” the Spyder Active Athlete said. “Racing in Asia is a new experience for me but I’ve been racing with Adderly in America, and am really excited to get to work with him in Asia. I have been able to show him my favourite parts of American culture and racing and now he can do the same in Asia!”
The GT Asia Series commences at the Korea International Circuit on May 13-15.
